We are working with an entrepreneurial London advisory firm that is looking to appoint a Valuations Director to lead and scale its valuation capability. This is not a start-from-scratch brief. The firm already has a strong and growing fee base, active deal flow across corporate finance and private client, and an established advisory platform. What they want now is a senior valuation professional who can take ownership of that platform and turn it into a true standalone practice.
The work is broad and high quality: M&A, shareholder and private client valuations, equity incentives, restructurings and transactional advisory — typically in the mid-market, where judgement and commercial insight matter far more than process.
Delivery remains an important part of the role, but this is really about leadership: shaping the proposition, developing people, influencing how the firm goes to market, and building something with your name on it.
The culture is agile and partner-led. There’s no Big 4 bureaucracy or internal politics — senior people are visible, trusted, and backed when they want to grow something. There is a clear and credible route to partnership.
