Job details Job description This is an opportunity to join a growing Corporate Tax team within a top tax consultancy, in a role built around the parts of tax that many people actually want more of: advisory work, complex projects, commercial judgement and autonomy.
The team advises on a broad range of corporate tax matters, including M&A structuring, transactions, cross-border issues, group reorganisations and wider advisory projects.
You would work closely with senior people in the business, as well as Corporate Finance, on fast-moving assignments where the tax advice has a clear commercial purpose.
This is not a role wrapped around audit and large-firm process.
The environment is more entrepreneurial and advisory-led.
You are trusted to think, advise and take ownership, while still having the support of experienced people around you.
That should appeal if you want more responsibility without moving into a culture where every decision needs to pass through several layers.
The role should suit someone who enjoys corporate tax but wants to move closer to transactions and advisory work.
Someone who wants to build confidence on M&A projects, develop stronger client-facing skills and become a more rounded commercial adviser.
There is also a sensible balance to the opportunity.
The firm has high standards, but it is not trying to recreate the worst parts of larger firms.
The focus is on quality work, good people, trust and delivery β not measuring value in six-minute increments.
If you are looking for more advisory exposure, more autonomy and a role where your contribution can be seen, this may be worth a confidential conversation.
