Job detailsJob descriptionThis is a Senior Manager role for someone who wants to be closer to the Partners, take greater ownership of client relationships and have a clear route towards Director.
You'll join a well-established corporate tax team in Kent, working with a strong mix of entrepreneurial businesses, family-owned companies, larger corporate groups and listed businesses. The work is broad, technically interesting and gives you the opportunity to combine portfolio ownership with a substantial amount of advisory work.
At Senior Manager level, you'll be expected to lead relationships rather than simply manage assignments. You'll work closely with Partners and Directors, become a senior point of contact for key clients and take ownership of identifying where the firm can provide further support.
The advisory work is varied and includes transactions and due diligence, group reorganisations and structuring, share-related work, international tax planning, financing, transfer pricing and capital allowances.
There is also genuine scope to build your commercial profile. You'll be involved in winning new work, developing existing relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the corporate tax practice.
Importantly, progression here is not vague. For someone performing well at Senior Manager level, Director within approximately 24β36 months is a realistic objective. You'll have visibility with the senior leadership team and a clear understanding of what you need to demonstrate to make that progression.
The firm combines the resources, technical depth and client base of a major accountancy practice with a culture that places considerable emphasis on flexibility, development and giving people room to build their careers.
If you are already operating at Senior Manager level, or are an experienced Manager ready for a significant step up in responsibility, this is an opportunity to take greater ownership now while positioning yourself for Director.
