Role

As the People and Culture Manager, you will be the heart and champion of our HR function, helping to ensure we remain a supportive and inclusive place to work. Building trusted relationships across the organisation, you'll act as a friendly, reassuring point of contact for staff while shaping an HR approach that reflects our values. You'll balance the strategic development of our HR function with the practical delivery of operational practices, acting as an advocate and helping people feel heard, safe and valued. Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, you will strengthen people practices that allow individuals, and our organisation, to thrive.

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and performance processes
  • Ensure records, payroll data and compliance processes are handled with care and accuracy
  • Develop and refresh policies, guidance and the staff handbook
  • Provide trusted advice to leaders on people matters, culture and sustainable organisational growth

About You

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role
  • Some knowledge of the not‐for‐profit sector and the specific challenges of a small, values‐led organisation
  • The ability to advocate for staff needs
  • Some understanding of sustainability principles and practices
  • Great IT skills with the ability to research, select, and implement new systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and provide support to staff at all levels
