Recovery Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced, proactive Mental Health Practitioner to manage our Recovery Service in Whalley Range, Manchester.

Our team provides person‑centred care for 11 individuals with enduring mental health needs and one with a learning disability. The service focuses on developing skills and confidence for independent living, an active lifestyle, and person‑centred approaches that encourage self‑management, resilience and strength‑based practices rooted in respect and positive regard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Service Manager and line‑manage the team.
  • Lead holistic assessments and create care plans, recording accurately in the ECCO system.
  • Ensure the meeting of service‑user goals and the delivery of person‑centred care.
  • Build trusting relationships with service users, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain safe medicine management and administration.
  • Plan and organise care delivery, working flexibly on a rota system.
  • Demonstrate leadership and management competencies.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2 years of practitioner experience in mental health settings.
  • In‑depth knowledge of recovery principles, mental health legislation and interventions, including MHA, MCA, DOLs and care standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive risk management and safeguarding commitment.

Desirable Skills

  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Relevant professional qualifications.
  • Experience with a learning‑disability cohort.
