We have an exciting new opportunity for a Support Worker within our Morecambe learning disability services. Our tenants have a variety of interests and hobbies, including volunteering, walking, and even membership in the Rollercoaster Association! As part of our dedicated staff team, you will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism. Your role will involve helping our service users enjoy a high quality of life by participating in various activities they love, both at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and involved professionals to ensure a coordinated and consistent service.
- Provide respectful personal care and offer practical and emotional support.
- Develop and maintain warm and trusting relationships with service users.
- Work flexibly to cover weekend and bank holiday shifts, including both day and sleep-in shifts.
- Assist service users in partaking in activities they enjoy, enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in social care with individuals who have learning disabilities and/or autism is beneficial.
- Engaging, creative, and person-centred approach is valued above all.
- Full training will be provided to all new team members.
Development & Training
Creative Support's Development Pathway offers a structured induction and values-led training to help staff grow from entry-level to leadership roles. It empowers career progression through tailored learning aligned with national strategies and the WE CARE framework. Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
