We are seeking warm, compassionate and proactive individuals to lead in providing person‑centered care and support to our service users.
About the Service
The Tameside Extra Care services comprise four extra care sites across the Tameside borough; we currently have a role at our Dukinfield service. The scheme consists of one‑bedroom and two‑bedroom self‑contained flats, with a proportion of individuals receiving a care service. Needs may include dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Responsibilities
You will assist the Extra Care Manager and Registered Manager in ensuring an empowering service that meets the needs of our clients and works with the service user’s families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere. You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, including but not limited to providing support with personal care and domestic tasks, and helping individuals to access work, education and social opportunities. Support might also involve sports, outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music, cooking, and other personal skills and interests you bring to the role.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience is essential for this role.
Schedule & Flexibility
You will be required to work in a flexible manner on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
Training & Development
Creative Support is committed to your continuous professional development. Successful candidates receive a full local and corporate induction and attain a Level 3 certificate in "Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care". Upon completion of your probationary period you will automatically be enrolled onto the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your training and development needs during regular supervision and appraisal meetings. Full training is provided, and the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. The Development Pathway offers a structured induction and values‑led training to help staff grow from entry‑level to leadership roles, supporting career progression through tailored learning aligned with national strategies and the WE CARE framework.
