Job Overview
We are looking for a volunteer to lead a walking group for people we support in Hinckley. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person‑centred services. The role is part‑time, voluntary and based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Responsibilities
- Plan walking routes, considering accessibility and comfort breaks.
- Promote the walking group to the people we support.
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members.
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries.
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided.
Qualifications & Requirements
You must be a confident communicator with strong leadership skills, punctual, reliable, and able to commit to monthly walks. A keen walker with an afternoon to spare each week is required. Passion for walking is essential; knowledge of Hinckley and the surrounding area would be a bonus.
Hours: One Saturday per month, 11am start.
