We are looking for a warm and compassionate Support Worker, to join our lively Supported Living service. Located in the heart of Rugeley, Staffordshire.
Our service provides varying levels of care to 14 individuals who have a range of support needs. Our service is a learning disabilities service, due to the varied level of needs you will have be supporting induvial with a wide range of needs such as personal care and independent activities in the community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enabling and encouraging our service users to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, promote their independence. Shifts will often be worked in teams of 3 to 4 staff members ensuring quality person-centred support to all of our service users.
Support Worker Duties:
- Flexible working hours to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
- Assisting with day-to-day living duties such as budgeting, shopping, support with medication and any personal care needs.
- You will collaborate with service users, families, carers, and professionals to provide a coordinated and consistent service that works in the best interest of the service users.
- You will need to be responsive to the needs of service users in line with Person Centred Plans and respond flexibly to changing needs.
- Encourage and support service users in expressing needs, views and concerns, enabling them to make their own choices and decisions.
- Here at Lea hall we promote our service users independence as much as possible, while also being a friendly supportive hand.
Being in the centre of Rugeley, our service has great transport links with regular buses and trains around the country.
Some experience is desired in health care but by no means essential.
We provide full ongoing training from our Creative Support Training Academy.
