Are you looking for a diverse role that is fun, stimulating and rewarding every day? Creative Support are looking for warm, enthusiastic and motivated Support Workers to join our team providing support to people in our Calderdale Services. At these vibrant services we provide quality care and support to individuals with a range of support needs including learning disabilities, mental health support needs and physical disabilities.

As a Support Worker, you will be passionate about providing personalised support, based around activities that include daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry; supporting people to meet their personal care needs; and enabling people to safely access their local community. You will be required to work effectively as part of a team to provide person centred support in a consistent manner to promote independence, inclusion, wellbeing and personal development. No two days will be the same, as service users love to engage in a wide range of activities within the home and out in the community.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing excellent, respectful personal care, administering medication and manual handling.
  • Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes.
  • Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest.

Full time hours (37.5 hours per week) and part time hours (15 hours minimum per week) available, to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may be required to work sleep in shifts.

Training, progression and qualifications:

We are looking for candidates from all walks of life. No previous care experience is needed, just a passion for providing person-centred care and support and working in a bright, friendly environment! Full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
