Voluntary Basis – Telford, Shropshire – Part-Time
We are looking for a creative volunteer to help staff set up and run activity sessions for the people we support at our supported living services in Telford. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person-centred care.
You will consult the people we support to plan a programme of activities in line with their interests, making them inclusive and accessible for all. You will plan for sessions in advance, preparing any necessary materials and/or equipment. Sessions could include arts and crafts, music, games, etc. Most importantly, you will take part in the sessions and engage in conversation with the people we support. As an activities volunteer, you would also support staff to plan and deliver events for the people we support such as summer fairs and Christmas parties.
Qualifications
You will be outgoing, confident, and have strong communication skills.
Volunteer Duties
- Consult people we support to plan engaging activities in line with their interests.
- Prepare for activities including set-up, moving tables and chairs if necessary.
- Lead and take part in activity sessions, engaging with people we support.
- Tidy up after activities, returning the room to normal.
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members.
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries.
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays or Sundays
