We're looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to support older people in engaging with a variety of activities and accessing their local community. As a Community Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping older individuals maintain their independence, social connections, and well-being by encouraging participation in local activities and providing companionship.

This role provides support to individuals at one of our two Extra Care services in Barnsley, with one service based in Royston and the other in Hoyland.
Volunteer Duties:
- Engage in friendly conversation, building rapport and offering companionship.
- Help older individuals stay connected with their community and reduce social isolation.
- Support with light administration tasks, if required (e.g., assisting with booking activities, gathering feedback).
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members.
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries.
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided.
