We are looking for an empathetic, energetic, and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our committed team in Whitby. Our supported living service provides person-centred care and support to service users with learning disabilities, enabling them to develop their independence, experience a wide range of opportunities, and follow their passions.
Senior Support Worker Duties:
- Supervising staff, attending review meetings, liaising with professionals, and partaking in staff observation
- Providing personal care, administering medication, and help with domestic tasks
- Encouraging service users to gain independence and confidence, and to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life that meets their needs, preferences, and aspirations
- Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families
A minimum of 2 years' UK experience of providing care and support is essential for this role. Experience of supporting and supervising a staff team is desireable, but not essential.
