Overview
We are excited to welcome you to our Tower Hamlets extra care services as we strengthen our presence in the borough. We seek calm, resourceful Relief Support Workers who are highly motivated, hardworking, and eager to support older people at our Tower Hamlets services in a proactive and holistic manner. Your skills in positive communication and engagement, along with your ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for all service users, are essential.
You will support individuals in maintaining mental, physical, and emotional well-being and empower them to be happy, healthy and successful in achieving their life goals, working alongside their circle of support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support with personal care and domestic tasks.
- Help individuals access work, education, and social opportunities.
- Engage in activities aligned with residents’ personal skills and interests (e.g., sports and outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music, cooking).
- Support holistic well-being and person-centred care, within a proactive and respectful environment.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work on a roster basis including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
- At least twelve months of previous employed care experience is essential.
