We are seeking individuals to provide excellent person-centred care and support to tenants with learning disabilities living within the Whitley Bay area. You will assist and develop the everyday living skills of our service users and support them to enjoy a wide range of activities.
We require positive and enthusiastic individuals who will demonstrate superb communication skills, that are able to work within positive behaviour support guidelines and who will encourage the tenants to live socially inclusive lives. The staff must be able to build a trusting and friendly rapport with all the service users at our Whitley Bay service and work within the guidelines of local and corporate policies in a dignified manner.
The posts also offer potential candidates the opportunity to work across other services and with other individuals who have a range of support needs. In provision of this care we require warm, motivated and person centred individuals with a keen interest in providing personalised support to meet individual care plans.
This is a Relief Support Worker position which enables you to pick up shifts at a time that suits you, which is ideal for fitting around personal commitments, study or caring responsibilities. You will be paid on a weekly basis.
A minimum of 12 months' experience is essential for all Relief roles. Gender is considered to be an occupational requirement - Equality Act 2010.
Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
