We are looking for volunteers to help us run our monthly disco in Leeds. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services. The Creative Support disco takes place at the Welcome In Community Centre in Leeds on the 1st Thursday of the month from 6.30-9.30pm. This event is attended by people we support with a range of different support needs.
We are looking for volunteers to help us run the monthly disco, bringing people we support together. You will help to set up the room, sell tickets on the door, run the tuck shop and hand out refreshments. Most importantly, you will encourage the people we support to dance and enjoy their evening!
Volunteer Duties:- Set up the room in advance, moving tables and chairs if necessary
- Sell tickets at the door
- Help to run the tuck shop and hand out refreshments
- Be enthusiastic and welcoming, encouraging people we support to dance
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
First Thursday of the month, 5.30-9.30pm
Additional Volunteer Duties:- Meet on a regular basis
- Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries
- Help people we support to engage with the local community
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
