We are seeking highly committed and passionate Support Workers to join our friendly team in Whitby. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to tenants to take part in all aspects of everyday life and to enjoy a wide range of activities. The team works across two schemes and undertakes some outreach work to support individuals with a learning disability, some of whom have mental health needs.
You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will need to be flexible and able to deliver support in all aspects of daily living and personal care in a dignified manner. The service provides support to meet individualised needs.
The service requires shift work, which includes contributing to a 24-hour rota that includes sleepovers. Our service is located in Whitby, boasting picturesque views across the harbour. The service is easily accessible via public transport, with rail and bus services situated only yards away from The Coliseum.
Creative Support's Development Pathway offers a structured induction and values-led training to help staff grow from entry-level to leadership roles. It empowers career progression through tailored learning aligned with national strategies and the WE CARE framework. Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
