We are seeking resourceful Support Workers who are well motivated and are looking to join our friendly dedicated team based within our supported living service in Fazakerley. You will provide person centred care and support to adults on the autism spectrum – who may also have learning disabilities and complex needs. You will support them in all aspects of everyday life, alongside promoting and encouraging engagement in community activities.

Support Worker Duties:

  • Providing respectful, practical and emotional support with daily living tasks, including personal care and domestic duties
  • Daily collaborating with service users, their families and involved professionals
  • Supporting individuals to engage in fun activities which they enjoy in and around the areas of Fazakerley, Knowsley and the City of Liverpool, e.g. going to the cinema, on walks, swimming, to the pub and on days out
  • Maximising service user outcomes by promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem

You will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the required skills and qualities to manage behaviours that challenge the environment and others, and will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.

This role is a part time contract of 28 hours – full time hours are not available.

Car drivers are preferred for this role, but it is not essential.
