At our Extra Care service in Orpington, we provide high‑quality care and support to older residents, encouraging them to lead fulfilling and enriched lives. Extra Care housing helps older individuals live as independently as possible in a friendly, inclusive and safe environment while receiving the care and support they need.
We aim to empower our service users to lead active and positive lives, supporting their physical and mental wellbeing. To achieve this, we need responsible and compassionate individuals who can deliver respectful personal care and person‑centred support.
Responsibilities
- Provide respectful personal care and administer medication
- Encourage residents to engage in social activities both within and outside the home
- Develop warm and trusting relationships with service users so they can fully enjoy their time at the service
- Engage positively with service users and their families to build trusting relationships
- Work flexibly according to the needs of the service
Qualifications
- Minimum of twelve months’ experience working with older individuals
- Relevant professional qualification desirable but not essential
- A warm and person‑centred approach
