At our Extra Care service in Orpington, we provide high-quality care and support to older residents, encouraging them to lead fulfilling and enriched lives. Extra Care housing helps older individuals live as independently as possible in a friendly, inclusive and safe environment while receiving the care and support they need. We aim to empower our service users to lead active and positive lives, supporting their physical and mental wellbeing.
To achieve this, we need responsible and compassionate individuals who can deliver respectful personal care and person-centred support. As a Relief Extra Care Support Worker, your role will include providing respectful personal care and administering medication. You will encourage residents to engage in various exciting social activities both within and outside the home. Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users, enabling them to fully enjoy their time at the service, is key. You will engage positively with service users and their families to build trusting relationships and work flexibly according to the needs of the service.
Requirements for this role include a minimum of twelve months' experience working with older individuals. While a relevant professional qualification is desirable, it is not essential. What is crucial is a warm and person-centred approach.
