We are looking for a volunteer to run weekly arts and crafts sessions for residents at our service in Crowle, Scunthorpe. Volunteer to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff deliver person‑centred services. We are looking for a creative person with strong communication and leadership skills.
You will consult the people we support and plan a programme of activities in line with their interests, taking a creative approach to delivering the sessions using a variety of art materials including paints, yarn, paper, colouring pens, and clay. This role is a great way to gain experience of an arts facilitation role. It is suitable for residents living locally in a rural location.
Volunteer Duties- Consult people we support to plan engaging activities in line with their interests
- Prepare for activities including set‑up, moving tables and chairs if necessary
- Lead activity sessions, engaging with people we support
- Tidy up after activities, returning the room to normal
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
Hours
One morning or afternoon per week (midweek, daytime) – not evenings or weekends.
