Up to £13.40 per hour. Full‑time position based in Stockton‑on‑Tees and Gateshead, with travel across the North East region. Creative Support is a busy and dynamic national charity with a track record in providing high‑quality, person‑centred support services in over 65 local authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate two large weekly evening discos in Middlesbrough and Stockton (Tuesday and Thursday, 18:00–21:30) for adults with learning disabilities or other support needs.
  • Support the setup of an additional disco in Darlington (Wednesday evenings).
  • Plan, organise and lead social activities for service users across County Durham, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle.
  • Work with the Regional Development Team to expand disco offerings and develop partnerships with other organisations.
  • Maintain accurate records, coordinate resources and manage a small team of staff and helpers.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and service users, ensuring smooth operation of all events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong planning, event management and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication, networking and record‑keeping abilities.
  • Experience coordinating staff and volunteers for community or social care events.
  • Good level of computer literacy.

Requirements

  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly to meet evolving organisational goals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the North East region.
  • Ready to work during evenings (18:00–21:30) and occasionally weekends.

Position Details

  • Fixed‑term contract: 12 months.
  • Location: Stockton Regional Office and Gateshead Area Office.
