Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced team leader to help develop and coordinate supported living services across Tameside, supporting individuals with learning disabilities to maintain their independence, improve wellbeing and access personal development opportunities.
As a Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with contract requirements and uphold CQC quality standards. Your responsibilities will include allocating staff to meet individual needs, supervising, coaching, supporting team members, identifying and recording training needs, responding to referrals and conducting initial assessments. You will also develop and review support plans with service users, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and community agencies, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, facilitate service user engagement and peer support, monitor quality and provide performance indicators.
You will demonstrate excellent ethical duty of care and commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals whilst delivering excellent customer care, communicating proactively with stakeholders about risk management and care. By engaging in meaningful planning and therapeutic activities you will foster trust through empathy and respect whilst working collaboratively with service users, their families and professionals.
We require a minimum of 2 years’ practitioner experience, including staff supervision and management. You should hold or be working towards a relevant health or social care qualification (Degree or NVQ Level 4/5). You must exhibit warmth, compassion and positive regard for service users. Good written and verbal communication skills, flexibility to service needs, leadership and management competencies are essential. Commitment to continuous professional development is required.
