Creative Support is a not-for-profit organisation that provides high-quality, person-centred support to people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The support is tailored to individual needs and encourages independence and community engagement.

We are currently seeking Tamil-speaking Relief Extra Care Support Workers to support a diverse community of older people, including Tamil-speaking service users in Eastman Village. The ability to communicate effectively in Tamil is required and will help us provide culturally sensitive, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calm, resourceful and energetic individuals who are highly motivated, hardworking and keen to support older people in a proactive and holistic manner.
  • Demonstrate positive communication and engagement, provide unconditional positive regard for all service users, and support people to maintain a healthy state of wellbeing mentally, physically and emotionally.
  • Empower individuals to be happy, healthy and successful in achieving their life goals.
  • Provide support with personal care, domestic tasks and help individuals access work, education and social opportunities.
  • Work flexibly on a roster basis, including evenings.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Willingness to embrace all aspects of the role, including providing personal care and domestic support and supporting individuals in accessing work, education and social opportunities.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in Tamil and be located in and eligible to work within the UK.
Training & Development

As a successful candidate, you will receive a full local and corporate induction and be enrolled on the Care Certificate if pertinent. On completion of your probationary period, you will automatically be enrolled on the NVQ level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Training and development needs can be discussed during regular supervision and appraisal meetings.
