Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, responsive and caring individual for the role of Quality and Auditing Officer.

The post is based at our Head Office in Stockport with regular planned travel to services nationwide.

You will work with the Quality Team and other quality work streams within Creative Support.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in social care or a closely related field and will be an excellent communicator who can complete comprehensive reporting and review service action plans.

You will maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external services including commissioning and regulatory bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The role supports the Quality Team to complete quality visits and audits and to ensure that action plans are addressed.

Full support and training will be provided, with regular supervision from your line manager.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned quality visits and audits to services in collaboration with the Quality Team and relevant work streams.
  • Travel nationally to service locations as required.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and action plans; monitor progress and ensure actions are addressed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external services, commissioners and regulatory bodies (including CQC).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Receive training and supervision; participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social care or a closely related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to report clearly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and patience in quality checks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive and flexible with travel requirements.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and to engage with regulatory bodies such as the CQC.
