Job Description
We are currently looking to add a Relief Support Worker to our passionate and committed team in Barnet, North London.
Our Barnet service provides support to individuals with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will be respectful and able to provide excellent support that may include: administering medication and help with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning. You will also be passionate about enabling and encouraging our service users to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, and to develop their abilities to the fullest.
Relief Support Worker Duties:
- Assisting with day-to-day living duties such as budgeting, shopping and supporting with medication and any care that may be required
- You will collaborate with service users, families, carers, and involved professionals to provide a coordinated and consistent service that maximises outcomes for service users
- Be responsive to the needs of service users in line with Person Centred Plans and respond flexibly to changing needs
- Encourage and support service users in expressing needs, views and concerns, enabling them to make their own choices and decisions
Previous care experience of at least twelve months is essential for Relief Support Worker positions and successful candidates must attend mandatory induction training courses before beginning in the role. Car drivers are preferred, though not an essential requirement, to support with client engagement with the Barnet community.
As a Creative Support Bank Staff member, you will have access to our free app, which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country and provides information on the service, including directions. You will be paid on a weekly basis.
