We are looking for hardworking, flexible and empathetic Relief Support Workers to join our team, providing a person-centred service at our Extra Care Service at Heysham Gardens, Carlisle. The service is a purpose-built scheme which offers independent living opportunities for older people in a friendly, inclusive and safe environment.
For our Carlisle Extra Care service, we want our service users to lead active and positive lives. To achieve this, we need individuals to help us to deliver personalised extra care services. We need individuals who are passionate about providing dedicated care and support to older people. As a Relief Support Worker you will engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships. Good communication skills are key to this role, as is the ability to provide respectful personal care to meet the service usersβ needs.
We are looking for dedicated, flexible and responsive individuals to provide personalised support in line with the principles of recovery. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, have a positive outlook and are able to engage and motivate individuals to participate in a range of activities. You will have a keen insight into the challenges that our client face on a daily basis and awareness of the delivery of supported living care. Prior support related experience of at least twelve months is essential.
You must be able to work flexible shifts on a relief basis and you should enjoy working as part of a team.
