Creative Support is looking for warm, caring, and proactive Relief Support Workers to provide person-centred care at our respite service in St Helens. The service provides planned respite care for adults aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical and sensory disabilities.
Thyme Lodge, a modern detached house in Clockface, offers a relaxed, homely environment with 5 en-suite bedrooms, a communal lounge, conservatory, sensory room, and an open-plan kitchen and diner. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised care, helping service users develop friendships and learn new skills. Activities include day trips to Blackpool, local safari parks, and picnics, as well as annual events such as summer fairs, BBQs, and Christmas parties.
Your duties will include:
- Developing trusting relationships with service users
- Carrying out administrative and housing management tasks
- Supporting individuals with domestic tasks and daily living skills
While some shifts may involve lone working, we generally work as part of a small team with on-site management support. A minimum of twelve months of care experience is essential, and a passion for providing person-centred care in a friendly environment is key. The service is within walking distance of Lea Green train station, with several bus routes nearby and on-site parking available. A valid driverβs license is essential.
As a Creative Support Bank Staff member, you will have access to our free app, allowing you to pick up shifts nationwide and providing service information, including directions. You will be paid weekly.
