Creative Support is a busy and dynamic national charity with a track record in providing high quality, person-centred support services in over 65 local authorities. We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our Regional Development Team.

This busy role will involve:

  • Sharing the delivery of two large weekly evening discos in Middlesbrough and Stockton on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm – 9:30pm, for adults with a learning disability or other support need.
  • Coordinating a small team of staff and helpers and ensuring the smooth running of the discos.
  • Supporting the set-up of a further disco in Darlington on Wednesday evenings.
  • Looking for further opportunities to expand the discos and utilise partnerships with other organisations.

As part of the role, you will develop, plan and deliver social activities across the north of the region (County Durham, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle) for service users, including delivering existing activities as part of our wider offer. You will work closely with the Regional Development Team and support the wider regional development initiatives.

The successful candidate will be skilled in:

  • Planning and delivering events and activities.
  • Effective communication and networking.
  • Maintaining records and coordinating resources.

They must be well organised, hardworking and flexible as this is a demanding role, working with multiple stakeholders and services. A genuine interest in and awareness of the wider social care sector is desirable. Continuous professional development will be provided, but you must be able to work independently and flexibly to meet the goals and changing needs of the organisation.

You will be based between our Stockton Regional Office and Gateshead Area Office, with the requirement for travel to services across the North East region. Applicants must possess a clean and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
