We are looking for a Music Volunteer to provide meaningful companionship at our supported living service in Liverpool. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person‑centred care. We’re looking for someone who is warm, sociable, and loves music.
As a Music Volunteer, you’ll spend time with an individual we support who shares this passion, building meaningful relationships and companionship through enjoyable music sessions. Activities may include visits to record shops, spending time listening to and sharing favourite music, playing musical instruments together, or singing. This role is ideal for someone who has a genuine love of music and enjoys connecting with others through shared interests. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy and you’re able to offer a few hours of your time on a regular basis, we’d be delighted to hear from you. This role is based in an independent supported living service for adults with mental health needs.
Volunteer duties- Meet on a regular basis
- Spend time engaging in music‑related activities, such as listening to music together or sharing favourite artists and genres
- Accompany the individual on outings to record shops or other music‑related locations
- Play musical instruments or sing together, encouraging people we support to get involved and gain confidence
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
Hours: Flexible days, within working hours (between 9am and 5pm)
