As a support worker, you can support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live their best lives. The successful candidate will engage with service users and build trusting, therapeutic relationships.

The role includes visiting service users in their own homes or in other settings and offering practical support to enable them to live independently while also offering emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans. The support role includes helping with daily living tasks such as cooking, appointments, medication and money management.

Responsibilities:
  • Visit service users in their own homes or other settings and provide practical support to enable independent living.
  • Offer emotional support in line with individual support plans.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, appointments, medication and money management.
  • Engage with service users to build trusting, therapeutic relationships.
  • Support a person-centred approach and promote independence.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Full-time or part-time hours available (37.5 or 22.5 hours per week) with a flexible rota.
  • Ability to lone work and use your own initiative is essential.
  • Being a car driver and car owner (or access to a vehicle) is essential for this role; mileage allowance is paid.
  • Location: United Kingdom; applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
