Creative Support is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers person-centred support to individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. We are looking for Tamil-speaking Relief Extra Care Support Workers to support a diverse community of older people, including Tamil-speaking service users in Eastman Village.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and domestic assistance to individuals in a supportive and respectful manner.
- Engage with service users to help them maintain physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Support individuals to access work, education and social opportunities.
- Encourage independence and community engagement.
- Adapt care plans to meet individual needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure continuity of support.
Essential Requirements
- Fluency in Tamil to communicate effectively with service users.
- Calm, resourceful, energetic, highly motivated, hardworking and proactive.
- Unconditional positive regard for service users.
- Willingness to work flexibly on a roster basis, including evenings.
- Ability to embrace personal care and domestic tasks.
Training & Development
- Full local and corporate induction.
- Enrollment on the Care Certificate if relevant.
- Automatic enrolment onto the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care after successful probationary period.
- Regular supervision and appraisal meetings to discuss individual training needs.
