We are looking for a Befriender Volunteer to provide meaningful companionship at our domiciliary care service in Camden. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person‑centred care. We’re seeking someone who is warm, sociable, and a great listener.
As a Befriender, you’ll spend time with the people we support, offering conversation and companionship through regular meet‑ups. Activities might include getting out and about in the community, going for walks, or simply spending enjoyable time together. This is a supported living service, offering personalised care and support to individuals with a range of learning disabilities.
Volunteer duties:- Meet on a regular basis
- Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries
- Help people we support to engage with the local community, supporting social inclusion and encouraging independence
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
Hours: Monday daytime or Friday morning
