We are looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Jarrow, South Tyneside, supporting adults with learning disabilities with their daily lives. This offers a rewarding opportunity to start or advance your career in social care, within a well-established and friendly team.
Support Worker Duties:
- Providing positive behaviour support to individuals with learning disabilities, and non-verbal communication requirements
- Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes
- Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest
- Administrating and monitoring prescribed medication to service users
No previous experience required. We provide all of your training as you begin your new career in care, including the opportunity to work towards earning your QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. All employees have access to our training system where, through a combination of in person and e-learning courses, you can learn the skills required to develop in your role and progress toward senior roles.
