Role Overview
The Space Centre, a multi‑sensory centre, seeks an enthusiastic and practical person to support carers in using our sensory facilities to benefit children and adults with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person‑centred support and guidance to groups of children and adults with physical and/or learning disabilities, including those with autism.
- Create a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of different groups each day.
- Deliver high‑quality sensory experiences while facilitating carers’ engagement.
- Communicate effectively with teams, carers and participants.
- Maintain basic administrative and IT records, including technology use.
Working Hours
Open 7 days a week with weekend and evening shifts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with people with physical and/or learning disabilities, including autism.
- Positive, committed, and patient approach.
- Strong communication skills and basic computer use.
- Willingness to multitask and adapt to varying group sizes and activities.
