Overview

This position will join the Education Officer and Guild of Players Youth Theatre team to work alongside the organisation in helping to produce the youth theatre activities and shows.

About the Theatre and Organisation

The Theatre Royal in Dumfries is the oldest theatre in Scotland. Within its walls are 232 years of social, literary and dramatic heritage, woven together to create an historic legacy for Dumfries and for Scotland. The theatre has been owned and managed since 1960 by the Guild of Players. A major refurbishment in 2015 has allowed the Guild of Players to expand the programme, including community, education, and heritage work. The Guild of Players is a Scottish Charity (SCO01963) and Company Limited by Guarantee (SC35841).

  • Youth Theatre Trainee Producer (Freelance, 7 hours per week, £13.71 p/h, £384 per month)
  • The position is a fixed contract funded by the Holywood Trust, ending in July 2026.
