The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Ticketing Assistant to join the team.
Salary: £12.60 per hour rising to £13.45 per hour by 1st May 2026
Contract Type: FTC 2 March – 30 August 2026 (guaranteed 12 hours per week)
The Festival is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Ticketing Assistant to help deliver this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world.

The Role:
The role of the Ticketing Assistant is to deliver an efficient, high-quality box office service to all Edinburgh International Festival customers booking across all sales channels – over the telephone and in person. Ticketing Assistants will need to display excellent communication skills and always maintain the highest standard of customer service.
Job Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Maintaining accurate customer records
- Adhering to company’s data protection policies and procedures
- Additional administrative duties as required
Guaranteed minimum of 12 hours per week, with the opportunity to take on increased hours during peak times especially during our on-sale period and immediately before and during the Festival. Working hours will fall within standard office hours which are 9.30am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday with a typical shift being 11.45am-4.15pm. At peak times, and particularly immediately before and during the Festival, it will be necessary to work outside of these standard hours and at weekends. However, the working hours will not exceed the working time directive.
