Hopscotch Theatre Company is welcoming open auditions for our 2025-26 touring pantomime, 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' by Isla Cowan. We are keen to connect with versatile actors and performers to deliver our touring pantomime across Scotland from November 2025 until January 2026. We are inviting auditions from performers who may or may not have worked with us previously.
Audition Process:
To be considered, actors are invited to submit a self-tape for a role they wish to be considered for via the link below. The self-tape must include a reading of the corresponding side(s) and a supporting song. Your song should be an a cappella version of a contemporary song, no longer than 1 minute.
Key Dates:
- Self-tape Deadline: Monday, 21st July 2025 at 11:59 pm (BST).
- Shortlisting Notification: No later than Tuesday, 5th August 2025.
- Recall Auditions (in-person): Monday, 18th August and Tuesday, 19th August 2025.
- Final Outcome Notification: No later than Monday, 25th August 2025.
All shortlisted applicants will be notified and limited feedback will be provided. If you are unable to attend the recall dates, please detail your availability in your initial submission.
Rates of Pay:
Touring team members will be paid a minimum of £601.00 per week, with an additional 12.07% holiday pay based on the final total contract. Where overnight stays are required, all accommodation and subsistence will be booked and provided by the company. Hopscotch Theatre Company will also provide transport in a company vehicle to travel to and from production locations.
