Join IberoDocs as Marketing & Communications Manager for a Part Time 6 month contract. Lead promotion of Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival.
Fee: £10,750 (freelance) or approx. £1,550/month (gross), incl. employer NI and pension; 26–30 hrs/week, above RLW. Contract: Freelance or contract, 6 months, starting mid-May 2026. Hours: Flexible, with increased availability in August and September. Location: Remote, with regular meetings and on-site presence during the festival.
IberoDocs is Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival, celebrating the cultures of Latin America, Spain, and Portugal through creative documentary films. Led largely by immigrants, IberoDocs is a Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funded organisation committed to Fair Work First principles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver a marketing and communications plan and manage the budget with the Director.
- Oversee the creation of promotional materials and coordinate print and digital advertising.
- Manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn), and produce newsletters.
- Ensure the website is accurate and up to date.
- Write press releases and liaise with media and partners.
- Coordinate festival photography and video documentation.
- Ensure communications meet accessibility standards (including CC).
- Attend and support festival events (16–26 September 2026).
- Monitor analytics and prepare reports for funders.
- Experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within the arts or film festival sector.
- Passion for documentary film or Ibero-American culture.
- Excellent English copywriting and proofreading skills; Spanish or Portuguese desirable.
- Experience managing social media and digital campaigns.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Flexible and collaborative, able to work independently and as part of a team, and comfortable with fluctuating workloads.
This 6-month role begins in mid-May 2026 and may be extended subject to funding. The position is home-based with regular online and in-person meetings. The successful candidate must be in Edinburgh in the lead-up to and during the festival (16–20 September).
