Hours: 3 x 8 hour days per week (Pattern of days/hours to be agreed as necessary to fulfil the scope of responsibilities within the post. This will likely involve some weekend and evening work).
Place of Work: Hybrid working with dedicated office space at the Design Suite in the Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy, and working across the wider Spotlight area. Must be able to travel across Fife and Clackmannanshire.
Holidays: 18 days per year plus 13 currently recognised bank/public holidays (pro-rata).
We aim to hold interviews in Kirkcaldy (or via Zoom if required) during the week beginning Wednesday 8 April or Thursday 9 April.
The Spotlight initiative has been funded by the BFI, awarding National Lottery funding, to enable Film Hub Scotland to work at a more local level to develop the capacity and confidence of local film exhibitors (e.g. cinemas) and new potential film exhibitors (e.g. community organisations and venues) in putting on screenings of a wide range of film for local audiences. Film Hub Scotland will partner with OnFife to deliver this project.
Over three years Spotlight will focus on nurturing partnerships and capacity building, along with facilitating the direct delivery of public screenings and events with local organisations. Our ambition is for this intervention to make a visible difference to the local film offer. After this period, there will be a sustainable plan in place for ongoing screening activity.
The work will be hands-on and intensively developmental, and we are now looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to work with us on delivering this exciting new project.
