Want to make a real impact in Scotland’s public arts sector? The Soundsystem Project—a youth-led, publicly funded music initiative—is seeking a part-time Operations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in public arts, arts education, or creative project management. You\’ll help bring music workshops to life for young people across Scotland. About the Role We\’re growing and looking for someone to support our expanding work. Starting with defined responsibilities, this role has room to develop over time. You\’ll work closely with Company Directors to coordinate workshop delivery, liaise with tutors and schools, manage logistics, and support funding and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Schedule workshops and gather tutor availability Create timetables; liaise with schools and partners Book travel and accommodation (incl. ferries/trains) Coordinate tutor teams (email/WhatsApp) Share social media content (Instagram, Facebook) Collect feedback from parents, tutors, and partners Support funding applications and liaise with Creative Scotland Compile evaluations and assist in writing reports Who We’re Looking For We want someone organised, motivated, and independent. You don’t need to be a musician, but a belief in youth-led arts is essential. You’ll thrive if you: Have experience in arts admin or project coordination Understand Scotland’s public arts sector Can write or are keen to learn how to write funding applications Are confident with digital tools (social media, email, calendars) Enjoy working flexibly with small, collaborative teams Are passionate about accessible youth arts This is a fulfilling, flexible role within a dynamic youth-led project. You’ll gain hands-on experience in cultural project management—while helping young people unlock their creativity through music.
