Hours: 3 day week (flexible, est. Mon–Wed)
Duration: 4 months (Start: 4 August 2025)
Salary: £13.60 per hour (FTE £28,288)

Are you passionate about cinema, climate action, and community engagement? This exciting paid internship offers hands-on experience producing film events across Aberdeenshire.
As part of the Film Hub Scotland New Producer Scheme, NEAT is seeking a motivated individual to lead a climate-focused film project in collaboration with The Barn, NESCAN, and Aberdeen for a Fairer World. You’ll curate and deliver three screenings in rural communities, supported by training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:- Curate and deliver three community film screenings
- Develop outreach and audience engagement activities
- Secure screening licences and manage the project budget
- Create and implement a marketing plan
- Evaluate the project’s impact
- Receive training in mobile cinema operation
- Skills in event cinema management, programming, marketing, and audience development.
- Insight into Scotland’s film exhibition sector
- Mentorship and training from industry professionals
- Experience working with a pioneering rural arts organisation
This opportunity is open to individuals from underrepresented groups in the creative industries, including (but not limited to) those from ethnically diverse backgrounds, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, asylum seekers, and those facing geographical or socioeconomic barriers. No formal experience or academic qualifications are required, just a passion for cinema, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Experience in community or cultural projects (paid or voluntary) is a plus.
