Aberdeenshire Saxophone Orchestra has a vacancy for an inspirational Musical Director from early 2026
Applications are invited from anyone willing to travel to Aberdeen/Inverurie for our ‘all day’ rehearsals which are held on one Sunday per month
Hourly rate £44 (includes contact plus preparation)
Fees for other work by negotiation
Travel £0.45/mile

The successful applicant will support the musical development of the players and the orchestra as a whole and share our interest in promoting the saxophone as a suitable instrument for all musical genres and periods
It is expected that applicants will be saxophone players with experience in conducting and working with amateur musicians, although experienced wind players and conductors will also be considered.
Experience across the full range of music from early to modern would be an advantage.
