Disability Arts Online (DAO) is looking for an Archive Consultant to support its heritage project "Cripping Culture: a Journey into Disability Arts Heritage." This is a freelance commission for a digital archives specialist to plan, develop and implement an archive and accession policy and strategy, adhering to best practice in digital archiving.

Deliverables
- Carry out a condition survey of all physical and digital heritage assets held by DAO.
- Develop and deliver an archive and accessions policy.
- Collaborate with the project team and digital agency Surface Impression to identify an approach to taxonomy and cataloguing.
- Support the creation of the website and the archive specification document.
- Address and consider the implications of the restrictions imposed by the required Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
- Create an outline plan for future accessioning from DAO's magazine and organisational records.

- Experience working as an archive consultant on a heritage project
