Studioarc is an award-winning exhibition design consultancy. We are seeking a talented Interpretive Planner and Researcher to join our team and help shape engaging exhibitions and visitor experiences.
The Role
- Working closely within our small multi-disciplinary team, you will support the development of interpretive content and storytelling frameworks across a range of museum, exhibition and visitor centre projects.
- Please note that remote working is not available for this post.
- Carry out primary and secondary research to support content development.
- Prepare interpretation plans and content frameworks.
- Support community and stakeholder consultation to help shape interpretive content.
- Contribute to the development of creative interpretive concepts.
- Support the digital development of interactives and film-based media.
- Write clear, engaging copy for exhibitions and visitor experiences.
- Support project delivery across multiple live projects, working to deadlines.
- Contribute to studio coordination and day-to-day administration.
About You
- We are looking for someone who is curious, creative and well organised, with a strong eye for detail and enthusiasm for bringing stories to life.
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have an ability to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.
- Be able to demonstrate an interest in history, culture or place-based storytelling.
- Have experience of writing for public and non-specialist audiences.
- Be a confident communicator able to express ideas clearly.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Hours of work: This role is initially part-time (3 days per week, 9am-5:30pm), but with the potential to increase to full-time.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
