Specialist Support: Creative & Business Support

We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative professional to provide tailored business and admin support to a self employed sewing teacher and zero waste designer.
Role
The role combines administrative and strategic support, including:
- Administration, organisation & bookkeeping
- Planning, prioritisation & workflow development
- Creative and business problem-solving
- Sustainable workload and business development
- Reflective support, mentoring & creative collaboration
Essential Skills & Experience
- Small-business management and administration including:
- Email management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Booking management
- Experience of Google Workspace or equivalent
- Bookkeeping experience with good working knowledge of spreadsheets such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational abilities
- Calendar management
- Experience of editing Squarespace websites (or equivalent)
Desirable Skills
- Zero-waste pattern drafting & textile design
- CLO3D & Adobe Illustrator
- Social media and digital marketing
- Experience of teaching/supporting creative workshops
We’re looking for someone with experience in small-business working and the creative industries, preferably fashion/textiles and/or zero-waste design. We need someone who is organised, empathetic, adaptable and confident working collaboratively.
This is a strengths-based role, supporting neurodivergent creative practice through practical systems, shared problem-solving and sustainable ways of working.
7-8 hours/week | £20 per hour | Hybrid working - in-person working essential - Bridgeton, Glasgow

The Stitchery is a creative sewing community delivering design-led, creative sewing classes in Glasgow taught by local designers, artists and makers. Neurodiverse, body+, LGBTQi+ informed education. We bring people together through making: across skill levels, ages, and backgrounds.
