If you have a degree in jewellery, silversmithing, metalwork or similar, have an eye for detail and a patient and methodical disposition, this could be just the role for you. anOrdain is a small creative watchmaking company comprised of watchmakers, jewellers and designers, and we are looking for someone to join our team.
The role would suit a graduate with at least a couple of years post-university experience in a field related to their degree (even if experience is on the side of an unrelated, rent-paying job). Enamelling will be taught on the job, so there’s no need for specific experience. An understanding of materials and the ability to problem-solve and work in a methodical, almost scientific way is necessary. We work with tolerances far removed from jewellery, so a natural eye for detail is essential.
This is an apprenticeship where we will train you to make watch dials in enamel. It is a production role rather than a creative one, and as such it’s important to understand that there’s repetition involved.
The position is permanent, full-time 35 hours/week (with some flexibility in case-by-case circumstances) and starts with a six month trial period. Salary is £25k during the trial, increasing after with annual reviews. We’re based in Mount Florida in a recently completed factory.
Please apply with digital examples of work and a brief covering letter. The deadline is Saturday 28 February 2026 at 16:00.
