Contract: Feb 2026 – July 2027

Hours: 8 hrs/week (two 4-hour shifts or one 8-hour shift)

Pay: £13.80/hour (£26,910 pro rata)

Location: Witherspoon Building, Paisley + some off-site work (East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire)

Company: ReMode is a community interest company focused on creative, sustainable responses to the environmental impact of fashion and textiles. We run workshops, events and outreach projects for young people and the wider community. Programme Hidden Threads explores textiles, upcycling, outdoor learning, podcasting and zine‑making.

Role Overview: This practical, hands‑on role supports the smooth running of workshops and creative sessions. You’ll work closely with ReMode staff and freelance facilitators, helping prepare materials and assist young participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials and equipment for sessions
  • Set up workshop spaces and tidy up afterwards
  • Support facilitators and participants during activities
  • Take registers and gather evaluation information
  • Take photos or short video clips (with consent)
  • Help create digital content for ReMode’s social media
  • Follow ReMode policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, EDI and Data Protection
  • Join the PVG Scheme for work with young people

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Friendly, supportive and good at communicating
  • Interested in textiles, creativity and sustainability
  • Reliable, organised and able to follow instructions

Desirable (training available):

  • Hand or machine sewing, embroidery, knitting or crochet
  • Printmaking, zine‑making or other DIY publishing
  • Film, audio or podcast recording
  • Social media or digital content creation

Job Details:

  • Minimum 8 hrs/week (2 x 4 hrs) or (1x 8 hrs)
  • Shifts confirmed at least 4 weeks in advance
  • Occasional extra sessions or weekend work may arise
  • Travel costs covered when working off‑site
  • Reports to the Project Manager and Project Coordinator
