The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for experienced, passionate and dedicated Concerts Assistants to join the team.

Salary and Contract

  • Salary: £801.97 per week.
  • Contract: Fixed term from 3rd August – 1st September 2026.

Role

The Concerts Assistant will work across key rehearsal venues and/or our music venue at The Hub, assisting with the management and on‑day delivery of our concerts series, working closely with visiting artists and colleagues throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the smooth running of all International Festival activities in specified music venues during August, including rehearsals, concerts, broadcasts, load‑ins and load‑outs.
  • Act as a point of contact for International Festival staff, including the Creative Director, Music Production Manager, Music Programme Manager, Music Porter, Head of Artistic Management, Artist Liaison staff, Transport Manager, Production Department and the Festival Director.
  • Work outside standard hours and on weekends as required, with an average of 40 hours per week, while ensuring the working time directive is not exceeded.
