Morningside School of Music are currently looking for music teachers to work as part of their team. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality music education to children and adults of all ages and skill levels in a nurturing and engaging environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, focusing on instrumental techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's individual needs, goals, and learning styles.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve and achieve their goals.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and a love for music.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop and participate in recitals, workshops, and other music-related events.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a well-rounded and successful learning experience.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Music or Music Education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience (preferably in an educational setting).
  • Proficiency in one or more instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, technique, and repertoire across various genres.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A friendly, patient, and approachable demeanour, with a genuine passion for teaching and helping students grow.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
